Portable greenhouse

A portable greenhouse is a good option for starter kits and beginners. They function much like large greenhouse structures, by storing solar energy and keeping plant and flower life from freezing or burning. However, these structures can be assembled, broken down and re-assembled quickly and without damage to the overall structure.

Less expensive, a portable greenhouse usually includes steel rod framing structures and plastic sheeting or covers. Portable greenhouses kits also can come with carrying cases and anchoring materials. The ability to move the greenhouse will allow a beginner to find the most effective sunlit, level and tamper-free areas before building a permanent fixture. Portable greenhouses are also available in a variety of shapes and sizes.

As with permanent greenhouse structures, the most important elements to maintaining a portable greenhouse environment are: location, foundation, cooling and heating systems and air circulation. The greenhouse should be in an area that gets the most sun during the day. Always keep the structure on a level ground and look for proper ways of ventilating the house. Some structures come with automated temperature control, others explain manually how to maintain the environment.
