Why aren’t cement foundations recommended for greenhouse environments?

A cement foundation can get slippery and slimy pretty easily in a greenhouse. Items, shelving as well as individuals can fall and harm themselves or plant life and even the structure itself. It is best to use cedar or cypress wood, or any other wood that does not decay easily for aisles and walkways.

What is the best location for a greenhouse?

The most southern or southeastern area of property is the best area for a greenhouse as long as it is not shaded. A greenhouse needs the maximum amount of sunlight it can absorb. The northern area of a building or home is not recommended.

What types of greenhouses are there?

From cheap to conservatory, there are plenty of greenhouse types for one’s needs. They can come in any size or shape, can be portable or permanent and can be made from glass or plastic. Using a starter kit or mini or portable greenhouse is the best option for a beginner.
